Beginning

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by. If this is your first time to my blog, it's nice to meet you. If you've been here before, welcome back.

My writing journey has begun. The road will have some bumps and detours. I only hope that the first hill is not too high, and the journey is long.

A Little Tip I learned On Writing And Utilizing Your Background Information

While writing keep the background of your story at the forefront of your imagination. You may not use all of the background information in your story, but keeping it at the forefront allows you to keep it pictured while writing. Children like to be able to visualize what is happening.  How would they picture the story?  Take a step into their shoes, what would they visualize?  Picture books add many of the background details with their illustrations.  Try not to over explain your background.  Allow the reader to utilize their imagination.  Isn't that part of the fun and wonder of books?

Just sharing.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I hate when things are over described and the writer tries to force me to see things their way. A great writer lets the reader draw from their own experience which allows the reader to really feel a part of the story. I posted about this just this week on DNA Writers. Great post! :D
