Here are a few books about writing that I found helpful:
1. Take Joy - by Jane Yolen
2. Writing With Pictures - by Uri Shulevity
3. The Writer's Idea Book - by Anastasia Suen
4. Writing Hannah: On Writing For Children - by Libby Gleeson
5. Writing Down The Bones - Freeing The Writer Within - by Natalie Goldberg
Just wanted to share. Do you have any you would like to share?

I love writing books, and some of these are new to me. Thanks! My favorites include PLOT AND STRUCTURE by James Scott Bell, THE FIRE IN FICTION by Donald Maass, and STORY: SUBSTANCE, STRUCTURE, STYLE AND THE PRINCIPALS OF SCREENWRITING by Robert McKee.
Thank you Cynthia! I have not heard of these. I will definitely look for them.
Hi Maeve!
I wanted to give you the Stylish Blogger Award!
(act surprised ;)
Thank you for reading my blog.
p.s. I LOVE Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg. You might also like On Writing by Stephen King and Writing Magic by Gail Carson Levine. They are super.
I need to add Goal, Motivation & Conflict to my bookshelf. I heard Debra Dixon speak at a conference. She had a great tip about the book. Buy it from her website at a decent price. It shows up for $59 and up at Amazon. I'm looking up your no. 2 and 3 suggestions now.
Hi Stacy - Thanks! I will check it out.
