Beginning

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by. If this is your first time to my blog, it's nice to meet you. If you've been here before, welcome back.

My writing journey has begun. The road will have some bumps and detours. I only hope that the first hill is not too high, and the journey is long.

Some of my favorite Quotations

Today, I want to share with you some more of my favorite quotations:

“It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.”
– Ursula K. Le Guin

“Within your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go.”
– Louise Driscoll

“A good book is the best of friends, the same today and forever.”
– Martin Tupper

“Of all the needs a book has the chief need is that it be readable.”
– Anthony Trollope

"Be open, curious, present, and engaged.”
– Author Unknown

A favorite in Gaelic:
"Go raibh mile maith agat!”
(May you have a thousand good things!”)
This I wish to you all.

I would love it if you would share some of your favorite quotations to inspire us.

Thank you for your many comments, advice and best wishes. I look forward to communicating with you often. Take care, and happy writing!

OOOH - these are fabulous quotes. I love them. I have been on a "Disney" kick with my quotes lately. Here is one that I like, especially for us writers who are pursuing our dreams...
"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
Walt Disney

Those are some really great ones! I love the first one especially. For someone who does quotes every Friday, you'd think I'd have a favorite, but alas. I don't.

Abby - Nice quote from Walt Disney.

Lynda - I like that one, too.

I'm late (it's a personal theme this week), but I wanted to share this one I saw recently on a blog:
The author should die once he has finished writing. So as not to trouble the path of the text." Umberto Eco. I love the "be open, curious, present and engaged" one as well.
