Beginning

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by. If this is your first time to my blog, it's nice to meet you. If you've been here before, welcome back.

My writing journey has begun. The road will have some bumps and detours. I only hope that the first hill is not too high, and the journey is long.

Yesterday or Tomorrow

If you had the opportunity, would you choose to revisit yesterday or would you choose a glimpse at tomorrow?

With yesterday, you could recapture a moment that you let slip by, giving yourself a moment to create a new memory to carry with you to today and into tomorrow.

With tomorrow, you could catch a glimpse of what is yet to be, allowing you to set the pace for today, knowing what is to come.

If I had a choice, I would choose a revisit of yesterday.  There just isn't enough time in the day for all that I wish to do.  I would squeeze every minute out of the day.  I would kiss & hug the ones I love and tell them that I love them one more time.  I'd finish writing that book so, I could read it tomorrow.

I would leave tomorrow for tomorrow.  I like the idea of surprise, it is kind of like the blank page of a book, waiting to be discovered, yet to be written.  If tomorrow were to be my last day, I wouldn't want to know today.  I still have so much I want to do and say, I am not ready to say goodbye.

Blessings on our yesterdays, todays and tomorrows.  May they be all we can have and hold.  Which one woud you choose?

Definitely not tomorrow. If we were meant to know the future we would. I'd love to be able to revisit yesterday though, lots of yesterdays, and make a better job at all the tasks I ran rough shod over. I'd be a better, more informed Mum and, further back still, I'd study harder instead of messing about. Oh yes, I'd love to revisit my yesterdays.

Hi Maeve, nice to meet you. I found you through my daughter's blog, Born Bookish. I'm also a fellow campaigner and new follower.
I enjoyed reading your profile and the story behind the name of your blog. Sounds like the seed of a picture book there to me =)
As for visiting my yesterdays or tomorrows, I'd choose yesterday for sure.

Great question. I like your answer, too. I don't think I would ever choose to know what's coming next. I'd almost rather not know. It could be interesting to revisit the past, though. Hmmm, still thinking about this.

This is a wonderful post. My uncle was killed in a rollover accident last weekend so it makes me pick going back to yesterday. We could change bad decisions, redo things we may not have done perfectly, and most importantly... hug and kiss and love our loved ones even more and even better.

This is such a beautiful post. It is definitely something to think about but I agree with you. I would want yesterday...kind of like when we were kids and could say "REDO!"

I try to not have any regrets, so I vote for a glimpse at tomorrow.

You ask deep questions. I like that. My answer would be neither. I really have been focusing on living in the present moment for years. I wouldn't change the past as it doesn't exist, and neither does the future. We only have this moment. I think this is one of the great gifts I received from a serious brain injury 7 years ago that nearly took my life. During my long recovery, I only had "now." Didn't mean to get heavy on your light and fun question! Enjoyed everyone's responses.

What a great question and I love your answer to it.I would go back and tell my mum I love her, I'm ashamed to say I never told her when she was alive but she never told me either it was just the way she was brought up I know she did but would still like the chance to go back.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog, yes I might try that children's story I never thought of it before and have never written anything. Anne

I love your answer to this question, too, Maeve. I definitely wouldn't want to catch a glimpse at tomorrow. I think it's a blessing that we don't know the future because, if we did, we would worry about it too much and not enjoy the present. I like the idea of revisiting the past with the purpose of making sure loved ones know they are loved, but we can do that in the present with those that are still here. I also wouldn't mind revisiting the past to change some decisions I made, but since that can't be done, at least I've learned from my mistakes!
