Beginning

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by. If this is your first time to my blog, it's nice to meet you. If you've been here before, welcome back.

My writing journey has begun. The road will have some bumps and detours. I only hope that the first hill is not too high, and the journey is long.

Blog Give-A-Way

Since today is my birthday I am hosting a Blog Give-A-Way!  It is open to U.S. and International.  To enter please comment and share one of your favorite Holiday Children's Books (picture book, middle grade or young adult) along with a link to your blog so we can stop by and say hello.  The book can be an old favorite or a new one.  One of my all time favorites (and it isn't just a Christmas Story) is "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott.
Little Women (Little Women, #1)

I would have to list that as my all time favorite.

Now for the Give-A-Way

Large Old Time Christmas Stocking, click for larger view

Maeve have a wonderful, warm family birthday!

I have always loved Little Women, especially Jo (one of my nicknames).

My favorite Christmas picture book remains Eloise at Christmas, the original, of course!

Happy belated 21st Birthday... (I've heard all the women in Roscommon are 21, and they just repeat as necessary:)

Don't laugh, but I have 2.89 boys, so MY favorite kids book is "Potty Time With Elmo."

That book, and all it's little sounds is awesome and when we are finally post-potty, this little book that could will be sent to the Potty Hall of Fame in Peeville, WV. :)

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Maeve! I love Little Women.

I still think Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," will remaine a favorite.

Beautiful stocking. Giving on your birthday, what a lovely idea!

Happy Birthday!
My favourite book would have to be Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden, because the characters are so deep and you can learn things about yourself even as you plunge deeper into the action of a war that might someday be...
Hope you had a great birthday - can't wait until my 14th next year!
Cheers,
Emma

I left a comment yesterday but it looks like it's went into hyperspace. So I'll try again.I hope you had a lovely birthday and I'm sending belated birthday greetings to you. My favourite Christmas book is,The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe. I didn't read this until my daughter recieved it as a school prize. It reminds me of Christmas because we took the children to see it performed on stage on Chritmas eve and it was magical. They said on stage if all the children were good Aslan the lion would win but if they didn't behave the witch would win, I had good children for months after that. The christmas stocking is so beautiful,I wonder if you made it yourself?
