Beginning

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by. If this is your first time to my blog, it's nice to meet you. If you've been here before, welcome back.

My writing journey has begun. The road will have some bumps and detours. I only hope that the first hill is not too high, and the journey is long.

Enjoying the Campaign

We have been reading and enjoying the stories that are coming out of Rachel Harrie's Campaign.  So many stories from just two phrases.  As writers we have taken these two phrases and reached completely different views about what happened.

Everyone has their own writing style.  Even though we may not be writing a memoir, we let some of ourselves come through, after all our writing is part of us.  It is what we see, what we hear and what we think.  Writing stories isn't something we do in our spare time, or just to pass the time.  Writing stories is what we DO!  We weave together our thoughts, dreams and even nightmares.

We each go through life and write by the beat of a different drum.  I am reading through the many wonderful stories created in this campaign and looking forward to hearing the many beats of the drum!

It has been interesting to see all the different stories that have been inspired by just a few words.

Thanks for the award!

I am loving the campaign stories too. It is so much fun to see each others work. I can't wait until the next task. :)

I so loved this first challenge, too Maeve. I get a kick out of knowing we weave little bits of ourselves into every story we write!

It's amazing how different everyone's stories are! I think we could all be given specific details for an entire plot, and still each person's story would be vastly different. It's so fascinating!

Though I wasn't one to participate I completley agree with you! I just finished reading a poem with the 200 words and was blown away! The talent on these blogs is astromnomical! No wonder so many agents have trouble deciding who to represent!! Tough calls!

You've got a fabulous blog and I'm loving meeting all the new people! I look forward to future posts!

Maeve, this line resonated with me incredibly. I never thought of fiction writing in the context of a memoir, but you're right. It's almost like the memoir of our subconcious and daydreams. Brilliant, and quite deep. Excellent post!

I think you're totally right, we do all come through in our writing and it's fantastic that there are so many different styles out there.

Great to meet you through the campaign!
